Injectables FAQ
Injectables like Botox are a type of minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that involves injecting a neurotoxin into the skin to temporarily paralyze the muscles that cause wrinkles and fine lines. The most commonly used injectables for this purpose contain botulinum toxin type A, which is a purified protein derived from the bacteria Clostridium botulinum.
BOTOX
Botox is a type of injectable treatment used for both cosmetic and medical purposes. It is made from a purified form of botulinum toxin, which is produced by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum.
When Botox is injected into a muscle, it blocks the nerve signals that cause the muscle to contract, temporarily relaxing the muscle and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the face. It is commonly used to treat dynamic wrinkles, which are caused by repetitive muscle movements, such as frowning, squinting, or smiling.
Botox is also used to treat medical conditions such as chronic migraines, muscle spasms, and excessive sweating. The procedure is minimally invasive and typically takes only a few minutes. The effects of Botox typically last for three to six months, after which the treatment needs to be repeated to maintain the desired results.

Violeta Med Spa provides a range of treatments aimed at restoring your youthful appearance. With the use of Botox, we can help reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles by temporarily paralyzing the muscles responsible for facial expressions. Our minimally invasive treatment is relatively painless and can provide results that last up to three months.

DAXXIFY

Daxxify is different from Botox in that it works faster and for longer. Most people will notice a major decrease in movement in two days with Daxxify, versus the usual 5-7 days with Botox, and Daxxify wears off after six months (on average), in comparison to Botox's three to four months.

KYBELLA
Kybella is a brand name for an injectable medication used for cosmetic purposes to reduce the appearance of submental fullness, commonly known as a double chin. The active ingredient in Kybella is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.
When injected into the fat cells beneath the chin, Kybella causes the destruction of those cells, which are then naturally eliminated by the body's metabolic processes. Over time, this can lead to a more defined jawline and improved facial profile.
DYSPORT
Dysport is a brand name for a type of injectable medication that contains abobotulinumtoxinA, a type of botulinum toxin. Like Botox, Dysport is used to temporarily paralyze or weaken specific facial muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
When injected into the targeted muscles, Dysport blocks the nerve signals that cause the muscles to contract, thereby smoothing out wrinkles and lines. Dysport is commonly used to treat forehead lines, frown lines, and crow's feet.
Dysport is a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure that is typically well-tolerated with little to no downtime. Results can last up to four months, although individual experiences may vary.
XEOMIN
Xeomin is a brand name for an injectable medication that contains incobotulinumtoxinA, a type of botulinum toxin similar to the active ingredient in Botox and Dysport. Xeomin is used to temporarily reduce the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, also known as glabellar lines.
Like other botulinum toxin-based injectables, Xeomin works by blocking the nerve signals that cause muscles to contract, resulting in a temporary relaxation of the targeted muscles and a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Xeomin is a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure that is typically well-tolerated and can provide natural-looking results. The treatment typically takes only a few minutes and requires no downtime. Results can last up to three months, although individual experiences may vary.

SCULPTRA

Sculptra is a brand name for an injectable cosmetic filler that is used to increase the volume and fullness of the face. It is made of a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is biocompatible and biodegradable. Sculptra is designed to stimulate the body's natural production of collagen, which helps to improve the appearance of wrinkles, folds, and hollow areas on the face.
Unlike other injectable fillers, Sculptra is not a quick fix, and results can take several weeks to appear. It is usually injected in a series of treatments over a period of a few months, with each treatment spaced a few weeks apart. The results of Sculptra can last up to two years.
Sculptra is a popular treatment for people who are looking for a non-surgical way to restore volume to their face and improve the appearance of wrinkles and folds. However, like all cosmetic treatments, it is important to consult with a qualified and experienced medical professional before undergoing treatment.
